Description: The field trip to 94.6 MyFM, a media house associated with Divya Bhaskar, was a meaningful learning experience for the students. The visit helped students understand how a radio station functions in real life. During the visit, the students interacted with RJ Palak, who explained different aspects of radio broadcasting. She shared how podcasts are created, how the studio is set up, and how radio presenters work during live shows. Students learned about the placement of instruments, the size and design of the studio room, the seating arrangement, and the role of different software used in broadcasting. She also explained the advertisement panel and how many processes in the radio station are auto-generated. A live demonstration of recording and broadcasting further helped students understand how radio programmes are produced. Overall, the visit was very fruitful. He also had a methane lamp, which is currently not working but he plans to fix it soon. The owner has cows and buffalo on his property, and he collects their dung to make a slurry. This slurry goes into a tank where it ferments and releases methane gas. The gas rises to the top of the tank and is piped to the kitchen stove. The leftover slurry is used as fertilizer.
